Describe Workproduct View

A Workproduct view is probably one of the most useful Views from an EA Practice Viewpoint.

It describes all the Atomic Artifact elements, the Artifact Relationships and the Artifact Collections of the Artifact elements.

This creates a very useful map of all the Artifacts / WorkProducts and how they inter-relate to one another and themselves. Once this is understood, the whole EA team begin to get the following benefits:

• They all have a common understanding of the terminology for the Artifacts / Workproducts, allowing discussion to be more accurate and precise.
• They can then capture the Enterprise information into a common repository with a well defined structure.
• This forms the basis upon which the team can define Roles and Activities that will capture and manage these Arifacts / Workproducts.
